Mark K. Evans, 61, of Cowden, IL, passed away at 5:17 p.m. Friday, January 18, 2019 in HSHS Good Shepherd Hospital, Shelbyville, IL.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, January 28 in the First Assembly of God Church in Shelbyville, IL with Pastor Don Jefferies officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Monday in the church. Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL.
Mark was born on August 7, 1957 in Decatur, IL, the son of Bernard Frederick, Sr. and Maxine Lavon (White) Evans. He graduated from Argenta-Oreana High School in the Class of 1975. Mark was a driver for G & D Trucking in Decatur, IL until his retirement. He married Tamara Dawn Wells on August 29, 2008. Mark was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Shelbyville. He enjoyed boating and was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears.
Mark is survived by his wife, Tamara; son, Mikalan Evans of Mt. Zion, IL; daughters, Cheney and Crystan Evans both of Edwardsville, IL; step-daughters, Jamie Hardimon (Andrew) and Jessica Stuckemeyer (Jared) all of Cowden, IL; grandchildren, Charlie and Allison Hardimon and Jeremiah, Juliana and Jaclyn Stuckemeyer all of Cowden, IL: brothers, Gary Evans (Jill) of Monticello, IL and Mike Evans (Sharon) of Decatur, IL; and sisters-in-law, Vicki Evans of Decatur, IL, Arlene Evans of Chattanooga, TN and Kay Evans of Springfield, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Ron, Fred and Terry Evans.
