Jesse Shannon Conner (43) of Effingham

Jesse Shannon Conner, 43, of Effingham, IL, passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Johnson Funeral Home, 1110 N. Fourth Street, Effingham, IL 62401. Jesse was born on September 21, 1975, in Effingham, IL, the daughter of Melvin and Donna (Kissinger) Conner. Jesse was a loving mother of two children, who were her entire world. She could bring laughter to anyone and would brighten up a room with her beautiful smile and radiating personality. Along with impacting every person she met, her close relationship with her kids allowed her to touch the hearts of many youth as well. Jesse loved attending her children's extracurricular activities and sporting events, and was often found spending her time outdoors. She enjoyed hands-on creative projects and brought many ideas to life. Jesse was a caretaker with a humble heart and kind soul. Her spirit and the energy she brought turned any occasion into a party. Her memory is one that will not be forgotten. She was a member of the Journey Church and we take comfort in knowing that her soul is at peace in the hands of God.

Jesse is survived by her son, Terrence Hill; daughter, Michela Conner; brothers, Doug (Debbie) Pocrnich, Chet (Pam) Pierce, and Monte Pocrnich; sister, Michelle Black; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Nolan Pocrnich; and sister, Brenda Kreke.
