Carrie Jean Reed, 44, of Virden, IL, formerly of Cowden, passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL.
Carrie was born May 5, 1974, in Shelbyville, the daughter of Michael and Debra Jo (McElroy) Reed. She attended Cowden-Herrick Schools and married Heather Romanotto on January 21, 2016. Carrie enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are wife, Heather Reed; stepsons, Lukas Leigh and Jakob Leigh all of Virden; father, Michael Reed of Beecher City; brothers: David (Gayla) Reed, Timothy (Courtney) Reed and Christopher (Mindy) Reed all of Beecher City; grandmother, Joyce McElroy of Beecher City; great-grandmother, Jean Tucker of Shelbyville and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding her in death were her paternal grandparents, maternal grandfather and mother Debra Jo Reed, cousin Jason Watson.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Cowden with Reverend Joey Lee officiating. Burial will take place in Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be made to the family.
