Paul Arnold Strand, age 75, of Wheeler, Illinois and formerly of Marion, Illinois passed away at 5:30 PM – Saturday, September 29, 2018, at Lakeland Rehab and Health Care Center in Effingham, Illinois.
Services celebrating Paul’s life will be held at 2:00 PM – Sunday, October 7 at Potter’s House of Ministry in Newton, Illinois. Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Dieterich, Illinois. The obituary can be viewed and condolences left by clicking here.
Paul was born on August 6, 1943, in Decorah, Iowa, the son of Arnold Strand and Mary Jane Stickney-Strand.
Paul served his country in the United States Army of which he joined in 1961. He owned his own business for several years as a piano tuner and rebuilder, as well as pursuing many other endeavors he had a passion for.
Paul is survived by:
Daughter – Devan Marie Strand of St. Cloud, Minnesota
Grandsons – Gage Strand, Masen Strand and Caden Spoden
Fiancé – Arlene Christensen of Wheeler, Illinois
Paul was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Catherine Evans.
