Edwin Allen “Bud” Welch, 88, of Windsor, Illinois passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Life’s Journey in Mattoon, Illinois.

Funeral services will be Monday, July 9 at 10am at Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home in Windsor. Visitation will be held Sunday from 4-7 pm. Burial will take place at Sand Creek Cemetery with military honors by the Garrett-Baldridge Post #725 of Windsor.

Bud was born March 28th, 1930 in Monticello, Illinois, the son of Orville and Marjorie (Parrish) Welch. He married the love of his life, Beulah Williamson on September 29th, 1951 in Windsor, Illinois. Bud served in the US Army from 1952-1954, stationed at Fort Totten, New York. He was lifelong farmer in the Windsor Township area. He was also an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, & mushroom hunting. He took great pride in his grandchildren and great grandchildren, and attended many sporting events to watch them.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Beulah Welch of Windsor, children Gail (Russell) Rincker, Libby (Darrell) Hilligoss, & Lee (Melody) Welch all of Windsor; Grandchildren Rory Rincker, Rusty Rincker, Lindsey Barnard of Windsor, Mitch Hilligoss of Mattoon, Jodie Edwards of Cowden, & Shain Prahl of Wesley Chapel, Florida; 15 great grandchildren; one sister, Phyllis Chumbley of Monticello.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Dorothy Fryman and Elsie Brown.
