Lloyd A. VonBehren, 91, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2018 in HSHS Good Shepherd Hospital, Shelbyville, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 9 in Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Shelbyville, IL with Rev. E. Wade Helmkamp officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Monday in the church. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery in Strasburg, IL. Memorials may be given to Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Shelbyville or Shelby County Community Services. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL.

Lloyd was born on November 24, 1926 in Strasburg, IL, the son of Theodore A. and Cora E. (Kircher) VonBehren. He attended St. Paul’s Lutheran Church School in Strasburg, IL. Lloyd worked and participated in the programs at Shelby County Community Services in Shelbyville for over forty years. He enjoyed going on outings and participating in the “The Shelby Bells” hand bell choir and the Special Olympics. Lloyd was a forty year member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Strasburg, IL before transferring his membership to Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Shelbyville, IL.

He is survived by his nieces, Kami Weninger of Caledonia, MI and Kara Tate of Henderson, NV.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Kenneth L. VonBehren.
