Shirley Sue Niehoff (77) of Altamont

Shirley Sue Niehoff, 77, of Altamont died at 1:30am Monday, March 12, 2018 at Lutheran Care Center in Altamont.
As per Sue’s wishes there will be a private family graveside service at Arborcrest Memorial Park, rural Effingham, with Rev. Gary Fortkamp officiating. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Lutheran Care Center or the donors’ choice. Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Sue was born on Wednesday, March 5, 1941 in Wheeler to Delbert and Susie Stroud Yoder. She married Dale E. Niehoff on July 6, 1958 at St. Paul ‘Blue Point’ Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on September 16, 2005. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Effingham and had been employed at Flying J Truck Center.
She is survived by; daughters, Deb (Rusty) Conner, Altamont and Lisa (Stan) Buzzard, Beecher City; sisters, Judi (Buddy) Osteen, Altamont and Mary (Larry) Winterrowd, Dieterich; grandchildren, Nick (Megan) Burrus, Aaron (Lisa) Conner, Paige Conner, Brent (Allison) Buzzard, Lynn (Mark) Waelde , Jared Buzzard and 8 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Warren, Ronald, Charles, Perry and Leonard Yoder and sisters Velma Hubbard and Dixie Griggs.
