Kathleen Naomi Laymon, 89, of rural Greenup, IL passed away at 4:40 AM Sunday, February 11, 2018 at the Heartland Christian Village in Neoga, IL.

Memorial services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday February 24 at the Block Church Greenup, IL. Refreshments will be served after the service for family and friends. Burial will be in the Block Cemetery at a later date. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup is assisting the family. Memorials can be made to either the Oblong Children’s Christian Home 4094 E 1050th Ave Oblong, IL 62449 or the Teutopolis Fire Dept.

Kathleen was born on March 1, 1928 in Greenup, IL to William & Olive (Justice) Jones. She married Daniel Lee Laymon on September 21, 1946 and he preceded her in 2006.

Surviving is three daughters Pam Allison of Greenup, Vicky (Danny) Blankenbaker of Robinson and Cherie (Mark) Trybull of Greenup, IL; three grandchildren Candice (Vince) Rodriguez, Jason (Katie) Blankenbaker and Victoria Trybull and special friend Brett Repking; one great grandchild Lilly Blankenbaker.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Marla Laymon; granddaughter Heather Bradshaw; 6 brothers and 4 sisters.

Kathleen was a farmer’s wife and homemaker, she attended the Block Church, was a member of H.E.A. and the Democrat Club.
