Thelma Catherine Deain, 88, of Edgewood died at 5:30pm Thursday, November 22, 2012 at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
Graveside services will be Monday, November 26, at 1:30pm at Parkersburg Cemetery at Parkersburg. Visitation will be from 10:30am to noon Monday at Neal Funeral Home in Louisville. Memorials to American Red Cross. Condolences at www.jwnealfuneralhome.net
She was born April 12, 1924 in Louisville, the daughter of Fred and Wilma (Clark) Wiley. She married Everett Deain on January 15, 1947 at Wabash Baptist Church, Louisville and he preceded her in death in December 1970. She was an assembly line worker at AMF in Olney.
Survivors include two sons, John Dale Deain of Olney and Brent Deain and wife Terri of Noble...three daughters, Janet Jones and husband Ron of Edgewood, Judy Robards of Clay City and Brenda Deain of Green River, Wyoming...three brothers, James Wiley of Texas, Perry Wiley and wife Clara of Louisville and Schuyler Wiley of Louisville...19 grandchildren...38 great-grandchildren...and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents...her husband...two sons, Roger Deain and Phillip Deain...one brother, Fred Wiley, Jr....one sister, Barbara Stanford...one grandchild, Celena Deain...and a special friend of 20 years from Parkersburg, Carl E. Wyatt in 1993.
