Juanita H. Garrett, 50, of Barnhart, Missouri, died at 6:00 a.m. Monday, May 30, 2016 at her home.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 4 at the First Church of God, 3001 Thrill Hill Road, Vandalia with Pat O’Brien and John Morden officiating. Burial will follow at Sidener Cemetery, St. Elmo. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday and for one hour prior to service time all at the church. Gieseking-Claggett Funeral Home, Brownstown is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to Camp Warren, Decatur or the donor’s choice.

Juanita Heloise Garret was born on Friday, December 31, 1965 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was the daughter of Robert Ray and Edith (Richardson) Garrett. She had obtained her PhD in Psychiatrity and was a practicing therapist. She was a member of Southside Church of God in St. Louis.

She leaves behind; her mother, Edith Garrett of Brownstown; fiancé Don Altman of Kansas City, MO; brother, Roy Garrett and his wife Racie of Vandalia; sisters Leilani Moore of Evansville, IN, Malia Stephens and her husband Art of St. Elmo, Sara Konrad of Vandalia, and Vicky Shouse Rees and her husband Ray; many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father and sister, Mia Phillips.
