Wendell Dean Thomas, 64, of Brownstown died at 5:11pm Saturday, April 7, 2012 at his home.
A memorial service will be held at 5pm Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Gieseking-Claggett Funeral Home in Brownstown. Visitation will be from 3-5pm Wednesday. Private family burial will be held at a later date.
He was born November 11, 1947 in Oreana, the son of Francis Thomas. He was an over-the-road truck driver.
He married Marilyn Booth on August 18, 1996 and she survives. Also surviving are his sons, Franklin Dean Nation and wife Billie of Taylorville and Jerry A. Nation and special friend Christy of Vandalia…a stepson, David Harbaugh of Staunton…stepdaughters, Tracy Lynn Sykes and husband Don of Litchfield and Cynthia Piechur and husband Rob of Appleton, Wisconsin…brother, Lynn Thomas and wife Doris of Tennessee…sister, Glendora Godberson of Ramsey…and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother…two brothers…and three sisters.
