Donald Earl Sanborn 69 of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 2:30 PM Saturday August 23, 2014 in his home.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm Wednesday, August 27 in Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville. The family requests casual attire. Visitation will be from 6-8pm Tuesday in the funeral home. The burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery in Shelbyville. Memorials may be given to the Shelby Memorial Hospital Foundation.

Don was born on October 17, 1944 in Shelbyville the son of Elmer Lloyd and Jane Bartimus Sanborn. He married Deanna Navis and later married Diana Riley. He was a graduate of Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1962. Don was formerly employed at Oliver Tractor Co. in Shelbyville. IL, World Color Press Co. in Effingham, IL for 31 years and then retired from R.R. Donnelly Co. in Mattoon, IL. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Shelbyville and the Shelbyville Moose Lodge #1279. He loved his family, enjoyed driving his yellow Chevy Camaro and listening to music.

Surviving are his children: Darren Sanborn of Mattoon, IL and Kim (Shadrac) Bathe of Shelbyville; mother; grandchildren: Nikki Barnes, Carissa Sanborn and Kiefer Bathe; sisters: Alicia Sanborn of Shelbyville and Patsy (Doug) Gardner of Elgin, IL and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and brother David Sanborn.
