Travis was born on June 29, 1981 in Olney, Illinois the son of Tim and Vicki (Curtright) Ferguson. The greatest accomplishment in his life was his son, Tristan. He was a devoted father to his son, and cherished all of the special moments that they shared. He and Tristan loved to go swimming and fishing in the family's pond, mushroom hunting and riding ATVs together. Travis worked side by side in the family business for more than 15 years with his dad, whom he referred to as his best friend. Hard work was in his blood and he hid his softer side from many by showing his 'no fear' attitude with a confident smile.
Travis is survived by his son Tristan Eugene Ferguson; parents Tim and Vicki Ferguson of Willow Hill, IL; sister and brother-in-law Aubrey and Chris Bergbower of Newton, IL; nephews Grady and Isaiah Bergbower of Newton, IL; grandmother Mary A. Ferguson of Robinson, IL; aunts and uncles Sharon and Bill Shacklee of Makanda, IL and Mike and Marilyn Ferguson of Robinson, IL and several cousins also survive.
Travis was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Gene Ferguson and maternal grandparents Margaret and Wayne "Pedro" Curtright.
