Darrell Wayne James, 63, of Charleston and formerly of Toledo, IL left his earthly home on Sunday, January 4, 2014 at 10:35 AM at his residence. We know he has already joined his parents and grandparents in heaven and they are all enjoying being freed from all physical infirmities they endured on earth. The last several years was a physical struggle for him, but he persevered for as long as he was able and tried to enjoy his last years. He was an inspiration to all around him in his final struggle.
Memorial services will be at the Salisbury Church in Hutton at 2:00 pm on Saturday May 10, 2014. Burial of cremated remains will be in the Aten Cemetery, rural Hidalgo.

Darrell was born on August 20, 1950 in Jewett, IL to Lee Wayne & Oma (Tanner) James. He married Nancy Brown in Toledo on May 24, 2003.
Surviving is his loving wife; children Chris (Lacey) James of Greenup, Aaron (Jason) McClain of Humboldt, Eric James of Mattoon, Mike James of Mattoon, Teah Lawson husband Charles Spivey of Mattoon, Drew (LaVera) Lawson of Webster, MA and Zane Lawson of Charleston; Brother David (Marilyn) James of Jewett; Sisters Ruby June (Roger) Edwards of Sullivan, IL and Kay (Randy) Etnire of Charleston; Grandchildren Taylor McClain, Noah James, Max McClain, Maggie May McClain, Aubrey Lawson and Chloe Lawson.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Darrell was an auto mechanic for many years, and is a member of the Salisbury Church in Hutton.
