Maxine Holsapple, 80, of Greenup, IL passed away at 7:15 am on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at her home.
Funeral services will be at 4:00 pm on Friday March 21st 2014 at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to service time on Friday at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in the Greenup Cemetery.
Nora Maxine Holsapple was born on December 21st 1933 in Jewett, IL to Hugh & Fern (Anderson) Clark. She married Jerry Holsapple on June 3rd 1951 in Toledo, IL.
Surviving is her husband of 62 years; son Stan (Reta) Holsapple of Toledo; daughter Diana (Bill) Grunloh of Springfield, IL; brothers Don (Ellen) Clark of Jewett and Charlie (Clara Jo) Clark of Greenup; sister in law Betty Clark of Beecher City; five grandchildren Rachel (Kevin) Hoene of Effingham, Justin (Kristen) Holsapple of Toledo, Nikki (David) Hauschild of Scottsdale, AZ; Natalie Mask of Nashville, TN; Anna (Jeremy) Kyle of St. Louis; 12 great grandchildren Liv, Reese and Nash Hoene; Layla, Vada and Fae Holsapple; Tyler, Megan and Jack Hauschild; Lauren and Ava Mask and Giana Kyle.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, brother Max Clark and sister and brother in law Vera and Glen Kibler.
Maxine was a homemaker and she was always ready to help on the farm. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning and doing for her family and others not thinking of herself. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Greenup. Memorials in her name can either be made to the Greenup First Presbyterian Church or to the Jewett Community Center. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.
