The 2014 Annual Artisan Fair is just around the corner, and committtees have been busy planning for the annual event.
Vision 2020 Retail/Tourism Committee is hosting the "Arts and Hearts" event that will give local not-for-profit and community groups an apportunity to inform community members about their organization and to raise funds for their cause. Whether it is selling items, hosting a raffle, or just providing information, the committee hopes groups will join in efforts to promote our community.
Space for this event is free to all not-for-profit organizations.
The not-for-profit portion of the event will be 5-8pm Friday, May 9 on the Effingham County Courthouse Museum lawn in downtown Effingham. The area will be open for groups to set up beginning at 2pm on Friday, May 9.
Other activities that evening include wine and beer tasting, a live art auction, sidewalk chalk art, Can-Do-Art, TREC tricycle races, artist soft opening, and a local food fair, among other activites.
