Community Calendar

The Effingham Public Library and Effingham Masonic Lodge #149 will be co-hosting a launch party for the new permanent storywalk, placed on the Lake Sara Beach grounds.  The launch party will be on Friday, May 3, from 4:00 - 6:00 and will include free hot dogs and chips and a take-and-make craft, both while supplies last.  

The Effingham Public Library is proud to co-sponsor the permanent storywalk with Effingham Masonic Lodge #149.  This project was made possible by a grant from the Illinois Masonic Children’s Assistance Program.  The storywalk will bring a new story each month to the trail that is part of the Lake Sara Beach grounds.  The story walk is intended to provide a learning environment for families to take children for an interactive family building experience for the purpose of improving literacy in the community and encouraging physical activity. 

The public is encouraged to attend and celebrate with us.
