Effingham County Property Tax Bills in the Mail

Effingham County Treasurer Steve Dasenbrock has announced the 2011 payable 2012 real estate tax bills are in the mail, and property owners can expect to receive them next week.

The due date for at least the first installment is Friday, August 10 and the due date for the second installment is Friday, October 12.

Payments can be made at any bank in Effingham County, by mail, or at the Treasurer's Office, which is located on the second floor of the Effingham County Office Building.  Payments can also be made online by credit card.  See the back of your tax bill for instructions on paying online.  Office hours at the County Treasurer's Office are 8am to 4pm weekdays.

The total number of bills being mailed is 21,484.  The total tax extended is $41,292,578.94.
