Altamont school board members Monday had the opportunity to share the success of the Indians' high school baseball team.

Members of the team and coaches Alan Whitt and Klaiton Wolff shared highlights from the season that ended up in the Class 1A state championship game.

In personnel moves, the Altamont board accepted the resignations of bus aide Erica Bowman and grade school teacher Ashley Tappendorf.

The Board employed Savannah Lyons as fulltime custodian and sub driver; Logan Cornett as grade school assistant baseball coach; Michelle Wagner as grade school Special Education teacher, Kara Miller as grade school paraprofessional, Samantha Leturno as high school paraprofessional, and Lisa Conner as grade school teacher. The Board also approved a two-year contract renewal for high school principal Peggy Bueker.

The Altamont board approved for the District to pledge $50,000 towards a joint project with the City of Altamont to upgrade the ballfields utilized by District teams, pending the City's grant approval. The Board also approved annual raises for non-contractual hourly employees.
