Louisville Man Sentenced to Prison for Arson

Louisville resident Anthony Alexander has been sentenced to prison for Arson.

The 35-year-old Alexander pleaded guilty Wedesday to damaging by fire property at Chestnut Corner Shelter Care on February 27.

Alexander received a five-year prison sentence, and be placed on one year mandatory supervised release once out of prison.

Clay County States Attorney Phillip Givens also announced that 45-year-old Jeremy Carter of Flora was sentenced to three years in prison on a charge of unlawful delivery of methamphetamine, and that 42-year-oid Christopher Brown of Xenia was sentenced to 5-1/2 years in prison for burglary.

Givens said the investigations were conducted by the Clay County Sheriff's Office and the Southeastern Illinois Drug Task Force.
