The South Central FFA Chapter recently volunteered at the Marion County Agriculture Safety Day event. Sixth graders from Marion County attended this event at Marion County Fairgrounds.

Around 150 young students learned about fire safety, how to properly call JULIE before digging, large equipment safety, livestock, examining equipment in a medical helicopter, and grain bin safety. Although this event was for sixth graders, the members also learned many skills. The FFA Members led the groups and assisted in being station leaders.

The South Central FFA Members who volunteered were Miranda Yates, Wyatt Iler, Keria Cowger, River Yingst, Meagan Lotz, Seth Jones, Keria Langley, Tyson Jones, Derek Engel, and Lucas Curry.
