Two-Vehicle Crash On Interstate Near Neoga Thursday Morning

One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning near Neoga.

The crash happened at 7:40am on I-57 southbound near Cumberland County Road 100 East. 

Illinois State Police report a SUV struck the rear of another SUV. The first vehicle ended up in a ditch, the other on the shoulder of the roadway.

One person was transported to an area hospital for treatment of injuries. No names of those involved were released.

The first driver was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
