The Effingham Showcase Center has engaged with Innovative Partnerships Group (IPG) for a valuation and commercial strategy study. IPG is a naming rights and sponsorship consultant with clients such as the FC Barcelona, Phoenix Suns, Tampa Bay Rays, and Philadelphia Flyers.

Ryan Engel, President of the Effingham Showcase Center noted that, “this study will determine the value of the Effingham Showcase Center through naming rights, high-value partnerships, and other strategic business opportunities.”

The Effingham Showcase Center was awarded a grant from the Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation to cover the cost of the study. Alex Pleasant, President and CEO of The Community Foundation, said that they are “pleased to be able to support the Effingham Showcase Center with an Effingham CommunityWorks grant. CommunityWorks funding is meant to support bold community initiatives with the potential for transformational impact. The Effingham Showcase Center project aligns with the Community Foundation’s mission to build stronger towns and brighter futures in Southeastern Illinois.”

Findings from the study are expected in April.

The Effingham City Council voted to purchase 25 acres of land west of the Effingham High School athletic complex in November from the Effingham Unit 40 school district  as the site of the Showcase Center, contingent on the developers raising $18 million toward the project by the end of 2024.
