Funding Made Available for Free Public Transport Rides

The Effingham County Board has voted to approve a disbursement of $10,000.00 in funding to the Effingham County Public Transportation ETrax program to allow for free rides for Effingham County residents who are senior citizens, persons with disabilities, or veterans. ECPT has developed a Reduced Fare ID Card to allow for county residents meeting the qualifications for free rides as specified by the County Board to make use of the funding received. ECPT has requested qualified individuals to complete an application and submit to CEFS. Applications can be found on both the Effingham County and CEFS websites.
