State Police have announced the guilty plea and sentencing of a Mattoon man on four counts of possession, production and dissemination of child pornography.

A search warrant was issued in December for an address in Mattoon pursuant to an investigation by Illinois State Police and the Illinois Attorney General's Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. 23-year-old Dayquan Slaughter of Mattoon was taken into custody for possession of child pornography.

Earlier this week, Slaughter pled guilty to four Class X felony charges involving both possession and dissemination of child pornography and was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
