Local Man Arrested on Meth Charges

A local man was arrested by the Effingham County Sheriff's Office early Tuesday morning on drug charges.

A deputy conducted a traffic stop in Effingham at 12:51am. A subsequent K9 alert to the vehicle involved led to the discovery of a large quantity of crystal methamphetamine.

A passenger in the vehicle, 28-year-old Hayden L. Limes of Effingham, was arrested on charges of methamphetamine trafficking, delivery of 15 to 100 grams of methamphetamine, possession of 15 to 100 grams of methamphetamine and obstructing justice, as well as an outstanding Effingham County warrant for contempt of court.

Limes is expected to make a court appearance later Tuesday.
