Personnel matters dominated the agenda at the Brownstown Board of Education meeting Monday night.

The Board accepted Vince Rohr's resignation as PE teacher and athletic director as of the end of the school year. Rohr has been hired as junior high school athletic director for Effingham Unit 40 schools.

Also accepted was Erin Hoffman's resignation as a Kindergarten teacher, Taylor Cloe's resignation as a special education aide and Cloe's hiring as an elementary special education teacher for the coming school year, Caleb Atwood's resignation as high school baseball assistant coach, and Ron Morecraft's hiring as a substitute bus driver for the balance of this school year.

The Brownstown board also approved the fiscal year tax levy, abated the levy for a bond payment since the bonds generated enough money to make the bond payment, approved substitute pay rates for the remainder of the school year, and discussed potential HVAC updates at Brownstown Junior/Senior High School.
