Brownstown school board members Monday took action on some personnel matters for the coming school year.

Those hired were Tonja Stoecklin as an elementary Special Education teacher, and Shannon Sapp, Rachel Seabaugh, Rhonda Gehle and Stacey Summers as substitute bus drivers. The Board also accepted a letter of retirement from Leslie Lloyd.

Brownstown board members heard information from their building principals on their school report cards from the State, and approved their tentative fiscal tax levy. Health Appliance and Equitable was awarded the district's health, dental, vision and life insurance as of January 1, and a resolution was approved regarding the use of 1% facility tax revenue to fund school resource officers.

The Board also approved a proposal from Grunloh Builders for construction management services.
