Details Released on Friday Night Fatal Crash in Jasper County

Jasper County Sheriff's Office has released details on a Friday night crash that killed one person and injured another.

The crash happened at approximately 10:52pm on Jasper County Road 900 East, just south of County Road 700 North, southwest of Newton.

 When deputies arrived on scene, they found the driver trapped in the vehicle and unresponsive. Members of the Wade Community Fire Department, Jasper County Ambulance Service, and deputies worked to free the driver from the vehicle. The driver, later identified as 24-year-old Landon K. Tracy of Robinson, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger, 23-year-old David D. Goff of Robinson, was transported by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham with non-life threatening injuries.
