Effingham Water Authority trustees were updated on several items at this month's meeting.

Lake Superintendent Mike Dirks reported that work is progressing on a house on Court Six. Dirks said the east and west sides of the house are completed, and a lift has been moved to the north side of the structure.

A lot in Gypsy Cove was put up for bid, and one bid of $10,000 was received. The lot was appraised at $31,000. The Board voted to decline the bid.

An agreement to let Wabash Fiber install fiber optics at the lake was revisited. Authority Chairman Rob Brown has forwarded Wabash a copy of the Water Authority's franchise agreement with Mediacom for review.

The Board awarded Patton Printing and Graphics the quote to do boat license printing for just under $1,700.

A replat of three lots in Samuel Subdivision was discussed. It's the leaseholders' desire to eliminate one lot and to divide the annual lease rent for that lot between the leaseholders.

Tom Ryan of the Parks and Rec Committee also reported on the ribbon cutting ceremony held for Phase 2 last weekend.

At a separate meeting, the Water Authority Board approved the appropriation ordinance and budgets for the new fiscal year.
