Travel was disrupted Tuesday evening by a crash on I-70 eastbound at the 101 mile marker, one of many such crashes that have occurred at that location since road work began on the stretch of interstate. No injuries resulted from the crash.

Teutopolis Fire Protection District firefighters, in mutual aid with Montrose Fire Protection District, were called to the scene at 6:12pm. Four semis and a straight truck were involved in the crash. All units remained upright, there was no entrapment, and no hazardous cargo.

Eastbound traffic was rerouted off the interstate. Firefighters remained on scene to assist with clearing road debris as semis were towed from the scene.

Eastbound traffic was reopened at 8pm. State police are working to determine the cause of the crash.
