Windsor school board members have decided on one standard nickname for the district's sports teams.

Windsor's high school sports teams have been known as the Hatchets since their programs began co-oping with the Stewardson-Strasburg district. The junior high teams, though, have been known as the Trojans.

The Board voted that beginning with the 24-25 school year, all teams, junior high and high school, will be known as the Hatchets.

Board members also purchased fencing from GRP of Bethalto to protect new air conditioning units for $5,545; and posted the tentative fiscal year budget with adoption expected at the September meeting.

Following a closed session, the Windsor board took action on several personnel matters. Resignations were accepted from junior/senior high school English teacher Rachel Kingery; district Music teacher, band director and drama club advisor Stephanie Kinkley; and from high school softball coach Craig Moffitt.

The Board hired District Music teacher and Band Director Grace Majors; Library Aide and Technology Coordinator Jennifer Goldstein; Junior High head volleyball coach Megan McClard and junior high assistant volleyball coach Madison Boone.
