Effingham Water Authority trustees were updated at this month's meeting on progress on Phase Two of the Lake Sara Beach renovation project.

Tom Ryan of the Parks and Rec Committee said that recent rains caused work to be a little behind schedule. Concrete is being poured for pickleball courts and the exercise area. Work has been progressing on the quarter-mile trail.

There was more discussion over dirt bike riding at the lake, but no resolution. The Board will set up a special meeting to help resolve the issue.

The Board awarded bids for road maintenance materials. Heuerman Brothers Trucking was awarded the grave bid, while Larry Heuerman Trucking was awarded the oil and chip bid.

Jack Schultz spoke to the Board regarding a property on Court Six, with Schultz suggesting fining the property holder for "polluting the lake".
