As the new school year draws near, the Effingham Noon Rotary Club did its part to make new teachers welcome to the community with its annual New Teachers Luncheon.

Noon Rotary heard from some of the 31 teachers joining Unit 40, the five teachers joining St. Anthony schools, and the one new teacher to Sacred Heart School. Teachers shared about their backgrounds and answered questions from Rotarians about the teaching profession and why they chose teaching as their pursuit.

Noon Club President Beth Debolt and Rotarian Bev Soltwedel co-chaired the Luncheon.
