Altamont Council Hears from Resident About Maintaining Easement

Altamont city council members discussed maintenance of a lane with a local resident Monday.

Aaron Lange spoke about an easement from 1982 that indicates the City would grade and apply rock as needed to the easement. Lange asked whether the City would also oil the easement. City officials said they would inspect the area and decide how to proceed.

The Altamont council also passed the appropriations ordinance for the fiscal year. The measure totals just over $8.8 million.

The Council also reviewed plans for sidewalk work along 3rd Street near Kremer Pharmacy. Bids will be opened for the project on Wednesday.
