New North Clay Superintendent Keith Price took a moment at Wednesday's school board to thank faculty, staff, administration and the North Clay community for their support during his transition from high school principal. Price was hired by the North Clay board to succeed the retired Travis Wyatt as superintendent.

The Board learned that Rachel Holkenbrink is featured in the July issue of Prairie Farmer Magazine for her CEO business and that Paris VanDyke represented Wabash Communications on the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association's Youth to Washington tour in June. Board members also heard that HVAC work continues at a good pace with the custodial staff getting into areas once they are vacated by the construction crews.

Also, five North Clay alumni were named to the NJCAA Academic All-America Team. They include Collyn Ballard and Holden Clift on the 2nd Team and Bryton Griffy, Brady Ingram and Donnie Zimmerman to the 3rd Team. In addition, the 1991 North Clay High School volleyball team will be recognized on Friday, September 8th at the home volleyball match with Neoga as part of the 75th anniversary celebration of North Clay High School.

In personnel matters, the North Clay board accepted Jennifer Traub's resignation as high school English teacher, hired Marilou Santos as high school English teacher, hired Devin Hilfirty as high school Spanish teacher, agreed to update the salaries of the admin and technology coordinator salaries, agreed to post the Director of Buildings and Grounds post, accepted the resignation of Kacie Crawford as 2026 class sponsor and then hired Crawford as 2025 class sponsor, hired Jill Johnson as volunteer high school cheer coach, and accepted the resignation of Rashelle Brooker as paraprofessional.
