Shumway Resident Arrested on Alleged Sexual Offenses

A Shumway man has been arrested on sex-related charges.

50-year-old Sean E. Morris was arrested by Effingham County sheriff's deputies Monday evening. Morris was taken into custody on a warrant charging Criminal Sexual Assault and Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse.

Morris was taken into custody without incident. Both charges stem from an investigation conducted by the Effingham County Sheriff's Office.

A release from the sheriff's office indicates that the investigation into the matter is ongoing.
