"Sound of Freedom" Now Showing in Theaters in Effingham, Mattoon

In the wake of Independence Day comes word of the movie, "Sound of Freedom".

The movie stars Jim Caviezel, probably best known for his role as Jesus in "The Passion of the Christ." Academy Award winning actress Mira Sorvino is also a part of the cast.

The focus of the film is on human trafficking in the world, and the efforts to bring it to an end. It's a true story of a former government agent who embarks on a mission to rescue hundreds of children from traffickers.

The movie is being shown at RMC Cinemas in Effingham and at AMC Classic Mattoon 10.

A local group known as the 57/70 Task Force is supporting the film and is encouraging local moviegoers to see it.
