Kids Zone Opens Tonight at Jasper County Fair

The Jasper County Fair in Newton will open it’s Kids Zone tonight at 6 p.m. for kids of all ages, something a little different each evening.

Tonight and Wednesday, the Mobile Dairy Classroom will be at the fair. Trained instructors will demonstrate how to milk a cow, describe how milk goes from the farm to the consumer, and then answer questions from the audience. This is an innovative program that brings the dairy experience directly to children. Presented in an outdoor classroom format. And, you will get to meet Louise the cow.

Other activities throughout the week include opportunities to learn or develop roping skills, check out fire trucks and meet some of the local firefighters from Wade Fire Protection and play some carnival games and win prizes. Fair food treats are also available nightly for all ages.

The Jasper County Fair runs each day through Saturday.
