The 152nd Jasper County Fair will begin June 18 and continue until June 24 in Newton.

Highlights for this year’s fair include the queen pageant, Sunday evening featuring Jr. Miss, PreTeen and Little Miss. The Jasper County Health Department is partnering with the fair to bring the queen pageant to the 2023 fair.

Monday and Tuesday will feature evening harness racing beginning each night at 6 p.m. offering an opportunity for those who enjoy harness racing to not miss a race because of their work schedule.

Wednesday evening those attending the grandstand event at 6 p.m. will be treated to the local tractor and truck pullers, always bringing local talent in front of the grandstand.

Thursday, Three Times a Lady Trio will be performing at 7:30 pm, something new for the Jasper County Fair. You won’t be disappointed by the harmonies of singer/songwriters Kennedy Scott, Lauren Mascitto and Hannah Blaylock.

Friday night, Beck’s Hybrids is partnering with the fair to bring the ITPA Tractor pull back to Jasper County at 7 p.m.

Saturday night brings the Whippoorwill Rodeo to Newton to finish out the week.

Livestock shows will be held throughout the week in the Larry Casey Jr. Livestock Building. The 4-H auction will be Thursday evening at 3 p.m. and the livestock shows will finish with the dairy show on Saturday.

The carnival will not be at the Jasper County Fair in 2023, but there will be a Kid Zone Monday-Saturday for the younger attendees to enjoy.

The traditional fair foods will still be found at the Jasper County Fair June 18-24. Times and details of all the events can be found on the website at: www.jaspercofairnewtonillinois.org/ or facebook Jasper County Fair Newton Illinois.
