Fuel Prices Fall for Memorial Day Travelers

Good news for holiday travelers: Gas prices continue to decline across the state, according to AAA - The Auto Club Group.

Illinois gas prices have dropped 15 cents per gallon in the last 30 days. Compared to a year ago, they are about a dollar lower.

AAA estimates 1.8 million Illinoisans will hit the road for Memorial Day weekend.

Want to save on gas? Plan pit stops accordingly. It is cheaper to fill up downstate, according to AAA stats as gas prices in central and southern Illinois are 30 cents lower than the state average.
