Teutopolis Board Members Discuss Tiling Along Pearl Street

Teutopolis village board members tabled action at their recent meeting on extending tile along South Pearl Street.

Some vehicles are leaving the roadway in the area of Little Buckaroo Saddle Club, south of the Teutopolis Banquet Hall. There is some thought that extending the tile to the south might address the problem, but some board members wanted time to think the matter over, so the issue was tabled.

The Board voted to release any claim on a lot in Prairie View Estates, and discussed the appropriations and budget for the coming fiscal year.

There was also discussion on an estimate from Water Treat Technology for a sludge survey of the village lagoons. Village Board President Dave Repking said the plan is to use sonar to gauge the depth of the sludge and how much more space is available in the lagoons before deciding how to proceed.
