Incident Involving Gunman in Du Quoin Ends Peacefully

A standoff with a gunman in Du Quoin ended without incident Wednesday night.

Police were dispatched to a building in Du Quoin just before 2pm. The call was in response to a report of a subject with a gun barricaded in a building in the 200 block of West Park Street.

At approximately 8pm, the subject exited the building and was taken into custody with no injuries to anyone involved.
