Dieterich school board members Tuesday renewed the district's contract with OPAA Food Service Management Company for the coming school year. The one-year contract cost will rise by 3%.

The Board approved a series of summer camps, and approved a technology upgrade quote from Quality Network Solutions to replace all teacher workstations at a cost of $39,251.76.

Dieterich board members approved the fee schedule, which had not seen an increase since 2019. The Board increased lunch and breakfast prices by 10 cents, increased PK-1 textbook fees to $85, increased Grades 2-12 textbook fees to $45, increased the roller skating fee by $1, increased the fee for PE shorts and shirts by 50 cents each, increased class fees to $20 for year-long classes and $10 for semester-long classes, and established a uniform Dual Credit Fee of $25 to make Dual Credit courses more economically available to all students.

The Board heard from junior/senior high school principal Scott Kocher on the senior class trip to Louisville, Kentucky April 26-28, and heard about plans to add Athletic PE to next year's master schedule.

In personnel moves, the Dieterich board accepted resignations from Sharon Feldhake as elementary secretary, Brian Hushaw as custodian, Katie Hagen and Charity Dasenbrock as aides, and Leia Meredith as music teacher, approved reassignments of Elizabeth Kersey to district flex teacher and Krystal Goebel to fulltime elementary secretary, and hired Jennifer Larson as Title teacher, Gina Niemerg and Nicole Lustig as special education teachers, and Maria Hanratty as Unit Office assistant.
