Rural Farina Man Arrested on Drug Charges

A rural Farina man is next due in court next week on criminal charges involving drugs and armed violence.

Members of the Fayette County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant Tuesday night at 57-year-old Kent A. Keppler's residence. The search warrant resulted in the seizure of a signifcant amount of methamphetamine along with $5,163 in US currency that authorities say comes from drug proceeds.

Keppler was initially arrested on a Fayette County warrant for methamphetamine delivery, possession with the intent to deliver meth, armed violence, criminal fortification of a residence, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Keppler's bond is now set at $100,000. He is next due in court on Monday.
