Three of the cases filed against the state's top elected officials have been consolidated.

The cases...two filed in Effingham County and one filed in White County...will now track together through court. The suits seek dismissal of the Assault Weapons Ban as it bans certain types of weapons and ammunition.

The suits are next due in court on March 7 for a status hearing.

The Court did not consolidate a case filed in Macon County. It will remain a separate case.
