(HENSON)

Bond has been set at $5 million in the case of Phillip Blaine Henson in Clay County.

The 53-year-old Henson is charged with a Class X felony count of drug-induced homicide, as well as Class X and Class 1 felony counts of unlawful delivery of methamphetamine.

Henson was initially arrested in March of 2022 in connection with the November 2021 death of 54-year-old Stephanie Harrell of Flora. Harrell was found dead in her vehicle parked in a farm field entrance on Olive Street, just north of US Route 50 at Flora.

Clay County State's Attorney Phillip Givens said that Henson was in custody due to the State's motion to revoke Henson's bond. When Henson was originally arrested on the charges stemming from Harrell's death, his bond was set at $1 million. That has now been replaced by the $5 million bond set this week by 4th Circuit Chief Judge Douglas Jarman.

Henson is next due in court on March 16 for a pre-trial conference.
