No new information today on the problem that is affecting the Effingham Unit 40 School District's computer network.

Unit 40 Superintendent Andrew Johnson said work continues to determine the reason for the problems still being experienced and when those problems could be corrected. Johnson promised to share information with the community as soon as that information is available.

The problems were identified as personnel arrived for work Thursday morning. Efforts have continued non-stop since that time to find some answers.

Due to the problems being encountered, classes were canceled in Unit 40 for today, as well as all extra-curricular activities for today and tonight. One exception was Effingham High School wrestler Baker Moon, who will be competing today in the Wrestling Sectional in Carterville.
