Cumberland school board members heard a presentation from Amy Carr on technology upgrades at this month's meeting.

A digital equity grant for work at the elementary and secondary buildings was obtained for $133,665. The board will purchase 35 SMART ActivPanels and HDMI cables. The work will finish out the middle school and elementary school, where the oldest SMARTboards are about 15 years old.

Cumberland board members passed their fiscal year tax levy, including a $50,000 tax abatement, and purchased workers' compensation insurance for 2023 with State Auto through Imming Insurance.

In personnel moves, the Cumberland board employed Jim Miller as high school head cross country coach, employed Brad Becker as a custodian, and employed Melissa Boldt as a secretary.
