More Candidate Filings in Various Races

A few more filings are being reported in the races to be decided in the April 2023 election.

Incumbent City Commissioner Larry Micenheimer has filed for another term on the Effingham City Council. Micenheimer joins incumbent Mayor Mike Schutzbach as candidates for new terms.

In Altamont, incumbent City Commissioner Dan Milleville has filed for another term, but has filed as a candidate for mayor. Jason Rippetoe is currently serving as mayor in Altamont. Milleville is the only person to file in Altamont as of Tuesday morning.

Denise Walk of Teutopolis filed Monday for another term on the Lake Land College Board of Trustees. There are three seats on the Lake Land Board to be filled in April. Walk is the only person to file so far for Lake Land Board.

We told you earlier that incumbent Russ Sehy and newcomer David E. Dust have filed for the two seats available on the Effingham Park Board.

The deadline to file in the various races is Monday, December 19 at 5pm.
